Wet Seal is offering a free "Chilosa" tank top (see picture above). I had no idea what this word meant, so I looked it up on Urban Dictionary. Here is the translation:

Ralph's New Coupon Policy

The price of rice has doubled, gas prices are nearing $5 per gallon, and now Ralph's has clipped their coupon policy. I'd hate to guess what's next in the lineup of economic woes. Anyway according to today's article from the LA Times, Ralph's grocery stores are expected to eliminate bonus valuations on coupons for $1 or more and will only double the value of coupons for 50 cents or less starting this Wednesday. Wow...I'll really miss those doubling of dollars, which really helped cut my weekly grocery bill. At least Von's is still doubling...for now!

This morning, I caught the tail end of a segment on The Today Show about how to get free samples from various companies. The segment mentioned a website called StartSampling.com. I checked it out and it seems pretty useful for obtaining current sample offers and coupons. It also features contests, a blog, forums and recipes. Another highlight of the website is their Frequent Tryer Miles, in which you earn "miles" (like points) for visiting manufacturer websites, participating in surveys, providing feedback on samples and making referrals. Registration is free.

I had been agonizing for months that gas prices would reach $4 a gallon, and now, in a blink of an eye, the prices have soared way over that amount - to almost $4.50 a gallon! I didn't even get a chance to get adjusted to spending $4 a gallon! I just want to vomit.

Ever since Sears announced their gas card promotion this week, I wanted to find out what other retailers or companies were jumping on the bandwagon as well to help fellow consumers. So after a furious internet search, I found a few more "free-gas-with-purchase" opportunities. (Special thanks to The Consumerist for some of the tips). Most of these deals are for the month of June, so act fast if you are interested.

Dockers Deals for Dad at Sears & Kohls! $75 Gas Card with $100 Purchase (Sears) or FREE Omaha Steaks Gift Pack (Kohls)

This deal couldn't have come at a better time - gas prices are OUTRAGEOUS and Father's Day is coming up! Well, today Sears just announced an in-store promotion to kick-off their Father's Day event, in which beginning June 7th, customers will receive a $75 gas gift card by mail when they spend $100 on any Men's Dockers merchandise (excluding shoes). Additionally, when customers send in their redemption form, Sears will give a $10 Sears Reward card when they also enter for a chance to win a Toyota Prius. This promotion is valid until June 15. I haven't found this promotion on their website yet, but most likely it will be posted in the next few days.
So in essence, you are getting $100 worth of Docker's clothing plus a$75 gas card, and then a $10 Sears gift card for $15! (spend $100, less $75 gas card and $10 Sears gift card you will get in the mail). I think this deal is great! My husband could use some new clothes, and we really need some gas money! If you have gift cards to redeem, this deal is even sweeter!

Alternatively, Kohl's is having a promotion in which you will receive by mail an Omaha Steaks® gift pack containing six (5 oz.) top sirloins and six (4 oz.)
